Last July 26, 2012 we went to Davao City to attend the General Assembly of JSWAP Mindanao Cluster. There are 9 schools who participated on the siad event namely: Western Mindanao State University-ESC Pagadian City, Mindanao State University, Marawi City, Ateneo de Davao University, Holy Cross of Davao, University of Minadanao, Jose Maria College, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College of General Santos City, Cotabato State University Cotabato City and of course our pride Lourdes College of Cagayan de Oro City. The purpose of the said event is the revision of the old Constitution By Laws of JSWAP and the planning of the upcoming JSWAP convention this coming September. In every school, there must be 4 participants (OFFICERS OF CLUB/PROGRAM).
Gladly, the assembly was successful and fruitful. What I like most during that event is that we found out that each schools has its own training/practices in terms of the case study because here in our school, we study first from the theories and applied it into practice as a real social worker, unlike them they had limitations. They made their case study through writing without practicing in the field. So because of that, I am proud that i am from Lourdes College.
It was a good experience to meet new friends or shall I say our colleagues in the future. Building new relationships gives you hope and ideas to study harder social work lessons in order for me to be a productive one. Long Live JSWAP Mindanao Cluster!!!
